On Monday February 23, 2009, Ehrhardt Tool and Machine Company, Inc. closed on the purchase of the intellectual property of Cybertech International of Daytona Beach, FL. Cybertech was owned by Lean Engineering. Cybertech produces custom automation equipment from simple pick and place robotics to complete assembly stations that verify sequence, torque, position and functional operation. In addition to the purchase of the Cybertech designs, drawings, trademarks and customer information, Ehrhardt has contracted for technical design and start-up assistance for the next several years.
Cybertech is a well-known and respected brand in the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) industry which Ehrhardt serves and where Cybertech has been involved in the design and manufacturing of automated coil brazing equipment. This equipment is used to braze components on evaporators and condenser coils for air conditioners and refrigeration units. With the Cybertech products, Ehrhardt will serve our existing customer base with additional products that fit very well into the Ehrhardt manufacturing process.
Ehrhardt began in 1937 and earned the reputation as a supplier of high precision hand transfer and progressive dies. They now produce custom tools, dies, special machines and complete automation for production lines. In addition, Ehrhardt provides contract stamping operations in presses from 35 to 800 tons with coil handling and feed systems.
